I traveled to Larnaca to seek relief from severe long covid symptoms. When I arrived in early August I was wheelchair bound due to fatigue, weakness, and breathing difficulties. My blood pressure and heart rate were high, and I had some brain fog and daily headaches. During my first H.E.L.P. Apheresis treatment my headache disappeared and they have not returned. The next three treatments saw my blood pressure and heart rate return to my normal healthy levels. I also could breath deeper, and the tightness in my chest improved. I had a short return of some of the breathing difficulties, but after the last two treatments I was feeling better again. I also tried one hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) session before I returned home in early September.Overall, I have to say that there have been real improvements in my condition. I still have some bad days, but the good days are more common, and I expect that ratio to continue to improve over the coming weeks. A big improvement is that I no longer depend on the wheelchair for normal days. Silke (the head clinician at the Apheresis Center) is so dedicated, knowledgeable, and skilled. She really cares for the patients and is so kind and empathetic. It is obvious that she is the key to what makes the H.E.L.P. Apheresis treatment so successful in Larnaca. I’m so glad that I was lucky enough to be able to come to the Apheresis Center in Larnaca for my treatments. All of the staff and the Dr that attended to me were awesome.

Ci sono stato a febbraio/marzo e a giugno 2022. Ho fatto alcuni trattamenti di aferesi H.E.L.P. e ho ricevuto alcune infusioni (vitaminecocktail e glutatione). Silke e il suo team sono semplicemente fantastici. Sono cordiali, calorosi, enfatici e danno buoni consigli. La posizione è facile da raggiungere in autobus o in taxi dal centro città. L'aeroporto è vicino. Un altro vantaggio è il clima e il livello generale dei prezzi a Cipro.

Raccomando vivamente l'aferesi, sono stata al Centro di Aferesi di Cipro e la mia vita è cambiata completamente e in meglio. Dopo 3 mesi passati a letto ho fatto questo trattamento e la vita è ricominciata. Ho recuperato le forze, la stanchezza è sparita, le depressioni sono scomparse, l'annebbiamento del cervello è stato eliminato. Sono così grata alle persone della clinica, sono state così disponibili, gentili ed efficienti, incredibili. Sarò grata per tutta la vita che mi resta, che vale la pena di essere vissuta di nuovo. grazie, grazie, grazie! Vivo a Zurigo, ma il trattamento non avrebbe potuto essere migliore in Svizzera, come a Cipro. Il vantaggio aggiuntivo è quello di trovarsi su quest'isola soleggiata, amichevole e così bella.

I have been treated at the H.E.L.P. Apheresis clinic in Larnaca in March/April 2022 and 2023 due to covid twice. I experienced changes at the clinic in the past year. The treatments were now much more individually done.I really apreciated the quick respond from the clinic if I had questions or conserns between treatments.As a patient, I have a very good experience with the clinic. I have felt safe and taken care of. Before, during and after the treatments as well as during the insertion and removal of catheter, the staff has followed up. Even after I returned back home. Direct contact with the clinic’s doctor during my stay via mobile, SMS and WhatsApp chat. In addition to the H.E.L.P. treatments themselves, I have received 1-1 guidance from the doctor at the clinic for recovery and increased energy levels and hormone balance related to the cycle. This has helped me a lot. This doctor at the clinic knows what she does👍 I am not bedbounded 24/7 anymore. Work 30% and I SM still recovering.For me, the clinic has become a very important security and a reliable treatment center where I know I will get help and be taken seriously with long covid issues. In case of reinfection and LC problems, I have no doubts about taking more treatments again if Covid knocks me down… again!

Having had Apheresis treatment in Larnaca in Feb/March, I have now been back for 5 months and can confidently say I am a lot better despite having had to leave earlier than I planned. I am planning to go back later this year to get a couple more treatments but at my current rate of recovery I may not have to. My experience was very positive and after a few initial problems with blocked veins, sticky blood and needing anticoagulants I had 4 successful treatments and although the improvements for me were very obvious, the extent was not immediately possible to gauge because I needed time to rest and recover from the treatments. After 2 months of proper rest, listening to my body and healthy living I had 50% improvement and felt confident that I was slowly getting better. Now after 4months I feel about 70% better I don’t seem to have PEM, my resting heartbeat feels fine, I sleep better and breathing is also OK. I am still being careful and pacing myself … partly out of fear. I am sticking to a healthy routine including rest and slowly working towards getting fitter and stronger. If I stop improving, then I will happily go back and get a few more treatments. For the first time since early 2020 I am now living well and I feel positive about eventually getting 100% better. I am so glad I had the opportunity to go to Cyprus and I remain grateful to Silke, Marcus, Nicky and team for their dedicated expertise. Lastly for those of you who have not had the same level of success I am so very sorry and send you every good wish for a full recovery one day soon.

I was at the clinic in August 2023 and had a good experience. I contracted a virus over 10 years ago and never returned to my normal health after. Being one of the few patients at the clinic that didn’t have long covid, I wasn’t sure whether H.E.L.P. apheresis would be the right treatment for me. My doctors from home advised against it, but I went anyways because I had done my own research on microclots etc. and thought it was worth a shot. The clinic is unconventional in the way how people are treated individually and how friendly everyone is. I was whatsapping with the doctors, nurses and managers in no time! They take a lot of time out for everyone! I felt a clear difference after the 3rd treatment when I found myself walking up a steep set of stairs without needing to pause, like I usually did. For over 10 years I haven’t found anything with such an immediate effect! My advice to other patients: 1. Do your own research on microclots and H.E.L.P. apheresis ahead of coming. Doctors there are ADVISORS, but it should be you who’s making the decision! 2. Excercise and strengthen your veins so that your arms will take treatment better (I needed a catheter and wasn’t fond of it). 3. Pick Markus’ brain on H.E.L.P. apheresis and ask for his individual advice for your healing process (he is THE crack and SO knowledgeable!). 4. Listen to your gut and not to those who are trying to make you scared of getting the treatment. Thanks to the whole team for always being there and giving their best to make me get better and feel comfortable. A special shout out goes out to nurse Salomi and, of course Markus, who are simply amazing!

The experience has been really, really good. I did all my own research before I left Australia for a long time and if you are suffering from post exertional malaise and breathlessness and anxiety there’s probably a really good chance that your vascular system has got microclots. And so after my research, it looked like Help Apheresis seemed to have the answers to help fix me.So,you know from the journey here by booking assisted travel with the wheelchair and everything else, just to break down the ordeal of getting here, that massively helped. But then from the minute you walk into the clinic, you know, the staff could not be more friendly. They seem to have blended the German efficiency and the Cypriot hospitality so that it’s such a warm environment to be treated in. Now, the treatments themselves, they’re not that invasive, especially if you have the catheter, because it means that you can keep your hands free and read, et cetera. But you know, after treatment one I felt amazing after treatment. Two and three, you know, they were a little bit harder. I felt great initially, but then the healing kicks in and then you start to feel, you know, as they say, the healing isn’t linear. And now after treatment four, I feel fantastic and I even wanted to take the catheter out,but they won’t let me, they tell me I have to finish the course and rightly so, because even though I feel incredible, the filters are still coming out blocked. But overall, I can’t thank the clinic enough. The treatment has been fantastic. You know, I arrived here practically in a wheelchair. I really hadn’t been well for a long time. I just feel so much better already.Look, do you have good days and bad days? Yes, you do. But I think, as the clinic advised me, that’s normal as your body’s trying to heal. Overall, it has been a fantastic experience and I could not recommend it highly enough!

I had the original COVID 3 years ago and developed long COVID. I tried many different treatments in the United States that I found on the internet. Some helped a little some didn’t. The amount of inflammation in my body was incredible. My immune system was out of control, yet all of my labs came back normal. I came across H.E.L.P. Apheresis through social media and Markus claiming his complete recovery. I had all the symptoms. POTS, brain fog, neuropathy, heart palpitations, GERD, vision loss, inflammation everywhere. I needed help.First of all, like everyone getting medical treatment, I’ll admit, I was nervous, anxious, and was uncertain. I honestly have never heard of Cyprus before this year. What you’re feeling is normal.The H.E.L.P. Apheresis facility in Cyprus is very high quality. I work in medicine in the USA and can say that it was better than USA standards. I was greeted with a smile, and received the best treatment from incredible nurses and doctors. It truly is individualized care, concierge medicine.I did 4.5 treatments in 2.5 weeks I absolutely loved Cyprus, the people, the safety and friendliness of the country is unique. I now know why Markus chose to open a clinic there! It is truly paradise, and it was bitter sweet to leave.I’ll end this review with 2 things:1) the staff at the treatment center now feels like family. I enjoyed getting to know each of them and felt warmth and love from all members of the team. I feel in debt from the bottom of my heart.2) the treatment works. It isn’t a silver bullet, it isn’t going to magically cure you, but it pulls lots of bad things out of your body, and gives you tons of momentum to allow your body to heal. I certainly had some clots come out, one so large that it clogged the lines. The nurses and doctors had no concern, they’ve seen it all and I was able to successfully complete the protocol. I have more energy, much less POTS symptoms, less brain fog, and now am home safely with my friends and family focusing on nutrition, and sleep.
